I really do traditional teaching. Honestly!
I LOVE technology, and so do most of our kids. I try to utilize technology to supplement regular instruction, not replace it. In fact, there are many days we don't even touch them. Having a wide range of technology options for students is beneficial for many reasons.
Even with computers, I am still the primary educator of your child at school, and nothing can replace the personal relationship between a teacher and the students.

Week of 9/5/2016
I left early today and was not able to check assignment notebooks. I told students that this was the chance to show their maturity and resposibility, but they are still supposed to ask for a parent signature.
Who: 5th Graders
What: Create a game (board, card, anything fun)
When: Due Tuesday 9/13
Where: Plenty of class time will be given, but some work may need to be done at home.
Why: Project-based learning engages students more than traditional tests and requires them to really apply the information. It also fosters creativity and problem solving.
